Waking up early and enjoying the quiet

Good morning!

I woke up at six a.m. today, again, completely unnecessary on a day off. Not necessary on a working day either, but I can be pleased with it then, as I’ll have more time for all the things I want to do before going to work in the afternoon. Anyway, I guess that’s the effect of sleeping much better lately, I wake up earlier as I need less time in bed. It’s fine, I have more reading time today.

It’s completely dark outside, but it turns out that there’s one neighbour who couldn’t wait till after the Sinterklaas.

It’s nice, especially that I always think that the fairy lights period is always too short. So I think that I’ll make myself a cup of tea and will seat at the window, enjoy the lights and the quiet.

One thing that makes me enjoy my early morning awakeness is the quiet. There’s nothing going on outside. The only sounds I would hear if I went out to the garden would be an owl and maybe a cow mooing at the neighbour’s barn.
