Morning Stories: Forty Six

or a personal new year

It’s my birthday today and I always see it as my personal new year. This is where it all begins. Lucky for me, it’s almost half way through calendar year, so I can have a sort of restart.

As you can imagine, I’ve been doing a lot of thinking about life stuff and how to proceed from now on lately and… I haven’t come up with any grand plan. Although I have a few ideas. And the biggest one is to do my thing and stop worrying so much.

This morning’s view from my garden

I don’t even have a grand plan for today. There’ll be some reading, of course and in the evening I have a book club meeting. So this is it. Celebrating in style. Although I had my birthday risotto yesterday, made by my husband, and I have a bottle of bubbles which I will not hesitate to use.
