Morning Stories: getting better
Resting, working and what would happen if I wouldn't get better this quickly.
This week I’ve got myself a horrible cold. It all started with a sore throat and in a few days developed further. Luckily the worst day was my day off, so I could sit on the sofa, under the blanket, under the cat, drink copious amouts of tea with honey, read and rest. And I did it for two days straight and I’m feeling much better today, ready for my first Sunday at work.
I’m not good at being ill. I don’t know how to do this, really. Luckily it didn’t take long to feel better, otherwise I could have turn into a grumpy old man with a flu.
It’s a grey morning here, with some rain on its way and I wouldn’t mind spending it under the blanket. Alas, the library awaits and for the first time since I work there, I really don’t mind having a shift. I like working on Sundays. People are different, atmosphere’s just a little bit nicer and I’ll be paid extra for it. What’s not to like?
I hope you’re all doing fine and keeping away from flu and nasty colds.
Any plans for this Sunday?
I think I had the same thing. Really had to force myself to rest, but there's something about honey tea and a blanket and cat that always helps.
This made me long for those Sundays on the library. Picking books in silence ✨
