I took my morning lemony warm water to the garden today. It seems that not all the plats understand that it’s October already. There are new blooms in our wild flower patch and coriander (cilantro) is going for the second round. Today it felt like the garden is waking up again. Which, maybe, is not that strange as next week we’ll be having spring temperatures again.
The nature may be confused, but I’m definitely in the autumnal state of mind. Friday, when I was working at the library, I was pulling books from the shelves to take home like my life depended on it. The long evenings, blankets, tea, warm cat and books is my idea of the ideal autumn and winter months.
I’ve also opened the crumble season already. It’s one of those things I only make in the cold months of the year. I like some things to stay seasonal, so I can have something to look forward to.
I feel ready. For the darkness, the warm jumpers, the blankets and a lot of reading.
How about you? Are you ready for the autumn and winter?
