Morning Stories: Last day of holidays
Garden life, sowing, experimenting and design
It’s the last day of my holidays and I’m not jumping up ad down to go to work tomorrow. To tell you the truth, I think I could spend my whole life on holiday. Well, that’s not true, I like to work, but I would prefer to work on my own terms and not be bound by a place I have to go to when someone tells me to. What I’m yearning for is more freedom, more independence (I was looking for another word here, but it just wouldn’t come to me).
This morning I went out to the garden, to shoot my little good morning video for Instagram and looked around me and realised, again, that I want to live my life how I do in my garden. It’s a bit wild, experimental, I just try things out and see what will happen. I throw some seeds in the ground, give them water and watch them become plants. I’m not following any rules, there’s no plan, no design. I just do what I want and can and most of the time enjoy the results.
But before I throw myself into doing, experimenting and breaking the rules, I have one more day of reading ahead of me. And, as it is the hottest day so far today, I’ll be doing it on the sofa in the coolness of my living room.
Happy Sunday!
