Morning Stories: Magnolia season
Sunshine, spring sightings and an important message
I was expecting to wake up to the sound of rain hitting my bedroom window. Instead I woke up to quiet and sunshine. Now, I’m sitting at my desk, writing to you and deepening my eye wrinkles, because it’s nice to feel the sun on my face. Never mind the tears streaming down it.
Spring is definitely my favourite season and I’m enjoying all the sightings of green and bloom from my bike. I can’t wait for the world to turn bright green, before the colours will deepen for the summer. Sometimes I wish I could live in a place where there’s always spring.
Yesterday I’ve heard something that made my heart skip a bit. Not from fear, but from recognition that this is something I should remember and apply to my own life. I can’t really tell you what was said exactly, because it was based on gestures, but it comes to focusing on what we want to be in this particular time in our lives.
Sure, it may be obvious, but sometimes we are simply not able to be doing just this one thing. Be it financially, or because of any other life situation. But what I’m taking from it, is that it still can be my main focus in the day, that I can prioritize it for myself and not let the other stuff take over my mind.
This is the most important message for me today.
Happy Sunday!
