Today is a rest day. I’ll be on the sofa, mainly in the horizontal position, reading. I’ll do one laundry and give water to plants, but there will be no other activity. I hope that my watch will cry ugly tears at the end of the day, because I moved so little.
I had quite a busy week and I need this rest day very much. I actually need two days, but it’s not in the cards this time. Luckily I only have two shifts and one workshop left before I’ll be off till new year. So there’s plenty of rest days ahead.
I’m reading retelling of Grimm Tales by Philip Pullman, Love, Nina by Nina Stibbe and I’m dipping in and out of The Lonely City by Olivia Laing and My First Popsicle, an anthology of essays and stories, edited by Zosia Mamet.
What are you reading at the moment?
De Broederschap van de Druif - John Fante, Vertellingen - Thomas Bernhard, Miniaturen - Isaak Babel
I’m reading ‘Comet in Moominland’ ✨
