We’re back in the standard time. I wish we stopped with the silliness of changing the clocks twice a year. This time of year is quite easy for me to get used to, but the daylight saving time takes a toll on my body and my sleeping pattern. And all this light! I wake up, it’s light already. I go to bed, it’s still light. I miss darkness, my body misses darkness. So I’ll be enjoying this standard time and the possibility of experiencing darkness for hours on end.
It’s a total rest day today. I’ve had a busy week and I need a day of doing nothing and not talking to any people. I hope to spend this day with a book, but I may watch an episode of Sue Perkins: Perfectly Legal.
One of the books I’m reading at the moment is about a long distance hike of the Te Araroa Trail. It makes me want to work hard towards my life’s vision to get more freedom and space in life, to be able to do all the things I want to do. I’m not a traveller, I’m completely fine at home, but I want to experience life. And it doesn’t necessary mean travelling to New Zealand for it. I can experience life here too.
