It’s day three of my holiday. I’m at home and I’m staying here for the rest of it too. Going anywhere felt like too much hustle and I just need a good rest away from work.
This morning while having my breakfast I was reading a book by Linn Ullmann, which is not (yet?) translated into English. It’s an autobiographical novel and I’m loving it so far. But I was also looking out of the window at the cows grazing the field behind my house, the bumblebees flying from flower to flower in my garden and two crows sitting on the garage roof seeming impatient. Maybe they just want their children to leave the nest finally? I can imagine how tired they are, flying constantly there and back to feed their children.
I’m not sure what those two weeks will bring, but I hope to write, read and do some work in the garden. I don’t make any plans, I just take every day as it comes.
How are you? Can you believe that we’re at the end of May already?
P.S. My 45th birthday is on the 16th of June. I’ve made a list of 45 books for this occasion. If you feel like gifting me a book (or an e-book as the lists consists of paperbacks and e-books) here is the list.
Happy Holidays 🌺🌻
