Morning Stories: Weekend tales
Other people and garden days. Guess which one I prefer.
What kind of person decides that 5 a.m. is a good time to work with the garden trimmer? I know that there are people who think that they’re a better person, because they get up at 5 a.m. Good for them, but I don’t want to be better, I just want to be well rested.
I shouldn’t be around people today, but (surprise, surprise) it’s my work day at the library. The only hope is that it’s not going to be very busy, because it’s mother day today in the Netherlands and a beautiful summer day and people will choose to do other things than going to library.
Yesterday was my only day off this week (it doesn’t happen that often that I only have one day off, but sometimes things just work out this way) and I’ve spent it in the garden. I did some sowing finally, checked what’s going in in the front garden (it’s pretty wild and I love it) and read Pop Goes the Weasel by M.J. Arlidge. It was a perfect day off.
I hope that you’re having a lovely weekend.
That is an awful time to make noise. 😞
That’s so ridiculously early. I think 8am is the earliest it’s allowed here and that’s early enough.
