Reading and talking about it
Filling my life with things that are good to me
I need to read more. Am I saying that again? I guess I am, although I feel like I’ve been saying it constantly for the last couple of months. But maybe it was only in my head and in my journal. It only means that I feel distracted from what’s important and that I let other things encroach on my reading time just a bit too often. I can’t keep allowing this, especially that I feel much better mentally when I do three things regularly, moving my body, writing and reading. And also, nothing helps me escape the world for a while as well as reading a book.
I’m a total bookworm, I always was. Even the obligatory reading at school didn’t manage to to beat it out of my system. Reading for me is like breathing, the very natural state, and also necessary to my well-being and survival. If someone would just pay me enough to read and talk about it, I would be the happiest person in the world. (You may send me any job offers by replying to this email.)
In the meantime I’ll keep reading and talking about it on my Instagram, my blog and maybe even here. I’m also thinking of returning to my YouTube channel (I’ve only made a couple of videos there a year or so ago), but this would be in Polish so not of interest to many of you. Still, my point is that apart from reading more, I want to talk about books more, because I want to talk about life more in general, and books are a huge part of it.
More reading means less Netflix and less mindless scrolling of social media. It also means that I will have more things to talk about and this, on it’s turn, will lead to more writing. Win win win.
The things I like reading and watching the most are life stories and bookish posts or video’s. So why not create more of what I enjoy the most?
My favourite person to listen to, talking about books (and anything really) is Jen Campbell. You can find her YouTube channel here and her Instagram here.
I follow lots of bookish accounts on Instagram, so if you’re looking for some new people to follow you can check my account.
Another YouTube channel I watch regularly and very much enjoy is SavidgeReads. I always feel that everyone knows Simon and that he doesn’t need any introductions, but it can’t hurt to mention him again. Here’s his Instagram.

See you Sunday with the Morning Stories!
Well there I was reading and enjoying your thoughts as ever, and goodness me I get a mention! Day made. Anna, thank you. I feel like we're on very similar paths, steadily and constantly trying to tweak our lives to the path that feels most aligned and feeds our creativity the most. Reading is a HUGE part of that. Your book piles contain some fantastic reads. A great year ahead, I think!
Thanks for mentioning SoNovelicious; I appreciate it. :)
